No one can say New York politics are boring, especially now that former "Manhattan Madam" Kristin Davis, Eliot Spitzer's alleged matchmaker, has thrown her double D's into the ring for Spitzer's old job, New York governor.
At a weekend Libertarian convention, Davis announced her intentions, citing her extensive business and finance experience.
"I was valedictorian of my high-school class," Davis told convention-goers. "I worked 10 years in finance. I was vice president of a hedge fund. I went on to build a multimillion-dollar business from scratch."

And lest you think this is a publicity stunt, she has veteran political operative Roger Stone who strategized for Nixon, Reagan and the Bushes. He tells the New York Daily News he is absolutely serious about her campaign.
"I want to get her a half-million votes," Stone, who has been meeting with Davis for months, told the paper.
Davis is running on a "taxation as confiscation" platform and also advocates legalizing prostitution and marijuana, saying that the potential $2.6 billion in revenue could help close the budget gap.
Davis and Stone plan to use her racy connections to get some Penthouse Pets to pound the pavement getting signatures for a petition to put her on the ballot.
Davis claims to have some prominent backers such as rapper 50 Cent who has reportedly offered some of his G-Unit rap crew to work the phones.
Stone says she has a sexy leg up on the competition because "she has nothing to hide."
Davis played a prominent role in the 2008 scandal that brought down former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. Spitzer resigned from office after his liasons with escort Ashley Dupre were revealed. Dupre allegedly worked for Davis.
