Police believe they have captured a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. The young couple allegedly traveled around the world using stolen identities. Now, police are piecing together the crime puzzle to see how many more victims are still out there.
They were the charismatic picture of beauty and success. 25-year-old Edward Anderton and 22-year-old Jocelyn Kirsch took photos of themselves in exotic locations all over the world. But the young couple didn't fund this luxurious lifestyle, said police, neighbors did.
"They were living the life at the expense of victimization of other people," said Philadelphia policeman Terry Sweeney.
Anderton and Kirsch used their neighbors' names and credit cards to pay for trips to islands and Europe, staying the entire time at the highest-end hotels, said detectives. Altogether, police believe the young couple stole more than $100 thousand from their victims.
Police have charged Anderton and Kirsch with an extensive list of crimes, including identity theft and burglary.
Wednesday afternoon, police in Philadelphia showed off a table full of evidence, which included phony credit cards, licenses and tools used to make fake-ids. Seized also were thousands of dollars in cash, all allegedly taken from the couple's condominium.
Police said they found at least 40 keys to other apartments inside the couple's condominium complex.
