An 89-year-old woman survived being run over and pinned by her husband's car Tuesday after he tried backing up to pick her up so she could avoid the rain, CBS station WFOR-TV reported.
The man struck her, but apparently didn't notice, and left her pinned underneath as he went to look for her indoors, police said.
Eventually neighbors alerted him as to what happened and firefighters used airbags to lift the car off off the victim, WFOR-TV reported. The woman was transported her to an area hospital. Her injuries were believed to be non-life threatening.
