New Book Reveals 'Orgasmic Diet'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) ― THE ORGASMIC DIET RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS EVERYDAY:

* Fish oil, containing approximately 1700 mg EPA, 1300 mg DHA

This is the dosage recommended for 130 woman. A 170 pound woman should take 2500 mg EPA, 2000 mg DHA

 
* The recommended daily allowance of calcium/ magnesium/zinc  (1000/400/15)

* A good mulit vitamin

* Extra vitamin C (a glass of orange juice a day is enough)

* Dark Chocolate 1/2 ounce

In terms of food, the Orgasmic Diet is as high protein, low carb, "good fat" diet, in which you try to achieve a 40/30/30 percentage balance.  The ratio of foods is similar in design an content to many current diets that promise balanced eating with an emphasis on whole foods. 

You want the eat as many fruits and veggies as you wish, replace stachy carbs with carbs that are high in fiber.

Here are couple of menu suggestions:


A:

Breakfast: Yogurt or cottage cheese, blueberries, strawberries and granola

Lunch: Chicken Caesar Salad -- add walnuts, pine nuts or grapes for more flavor

Dinner: Meatloaf, a side of green bean casserole and salad.

B:

Breakfast: two slices of bacon, one or two eggs, and a piece of toast

Lunch:  Cheeseburger without the bun, a big salad but no dressing

Dinner: Greek chicken Pitas with yogurt sauce, and a salad of tomato, peppers, cucumber, Greek olives, feta and olive oil.

C:

Breakfast: Fritta with egg, onions, peppers and Monterey cheese and salsa on top

Lunch: Tuna nicoise slad -- tuna over grees with olives, capers, hard boiled egg and cheese

Dinner: eggplant parmigiana and a bean salad.

The book is titled 'The Orgasmic Diet 'by Marrena Lindberg and has more details, suggestions and explains the science behind the program.  It also gives suggestions on the brands of vitamin supplements and their price points.
