Stars On Ice Rules And Regulations
(CBS 3)
CBS3 is giving away three
sets of family-four packs to the Smuckers Stars On Ice March 13th
performance at the Wachovia Center. CBS3
will ask a "figure skating" trivia question on Wednesday March 5, 2008 during
Eyewitness News (Wed/5-7am). The first three
emails back with the correct answer will each win a set of four tickets to the
Smuckers Stars On Ice Philadelphia show.
1. Overview
(a)
To participate, viewers will be
directed to answer a trivia question via email.
Viewers should include name and contact information on their email. Trivia contest will run on Wednesday March 5,
2008 during Eyewitness News (Wed/5am-7am).
(b)
The first three emails with the
correct answer will be declared the winners and will each receive the tickets. Three total winners.
(c)
The tickets can be picked up at the
VIP window of the Wachovia
Center.
(d)
Valid Entries must include all
pertinent contact information. Address,
home phone, cell phone and email address, and acknowledgment that rules have
been read and agreed to, are all required elements of a valid entry.
(e)
Multiple entries from one person
will not be accepted in the drawing.
(f)
KYW-TV is not responsible for
late, lost, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries, which may limit the
ability to play or participate in the promotion.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The promotion is open to residents of Pennsylvania,
New Jersey & Delaware who are 18 years of age or older.
Employees of CBS3 (KYW-TV), CWPhilly (WPSG-TV), CBS Inc., Smuckers Stars On
Ice, Wachovia Center and their sponsors and their affiliates, subsidiaries,
production, and advertising agencies and their immediate family members are
ineligible to participate.
(b) Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only
once every six months.
(c) All entries become the sole property of CBS3 (KYW-TV) and will not be
returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and
represent that their entry is their original work, and grant to CBS3 the right
to edit, publish, promote and otherwise use their entries without further
permission, notice or compensation including announcing their name as a ticket
winner on CBS3 newscasts.
3. Prizes/Selection of Winners:
(a) Decisions of station judges including managers
from programming and new departments with respect to the promotion are final.
(b) Three winners (total) will be determined based on
their ability to correctly answer the trivia question and submit their entry
first via email
(c) A CBS3 staffer will contact the winners.
(d) Promotional prize of four Smuckers Stars On Ice
tickets (suite seating) for the March 13, 2008 Philadelphia
performance at the Wachovia
Center is supplied by
Comcast Spectacor and is valued at $500.
Prize is not transferable. Prize may not be redeemed for cash.
Station reserves the right to substitute prize of comparable value.
(e) Winner is responsible for any and all other
expenses related to claiming and using the prize.
4. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole
responsibility of the winner and he/she may receive an IRS Form 1099 or
equivalent from CBS 3.
(b) By participating in the Morning Trivia Contest the winner agrees to
have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting
material relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release, affidavit
of eligibility and release of liability prior to acceptance of the prize. By accepting the prize, winner grants to CBS3
the right to use the winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes
of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter
invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where
prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility
of winner. Winner, by acceptance of their prize, agrees to release CBS3
(KYW-TV), CWPhilly (WPSG-TV), CBS Inc, Smuckers Stars on Ice, Comcast, their
sponsors, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective
advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability,
claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to
persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt,
ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or
traveling to any prize-related activity.
5. Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest,
which will become effective upon announcement.
6. If in the judges' opinion, there is any suspected
or actual evidence of electronic tampering with any portion of the contest or
if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the contest, the judges
reserve the right to terminate the contest and conduct a drawing to award the
prizes using all entries received as of the termination date. Should the
contest be terminated prior to the expiration date, notice will be posted on
CBS 3's web site, cbs3.com. CBS3 and any Internet service providers are not
responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of registration or entry
information, human error, technical malfunction, lost/delayed transmission,
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failure of any telephone
network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, inability to
access the CBS3 web site or any other error or malfunction which may occur.
7. No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited by law.
8. Failure to comply with the contest rules may
result in a contestant's disqualification.
9. Complete promotion rules may be obtained by sending a self-addressed
stamped envelope to: "Morning Trivia" c/o CBS 3, 1555 Hamilton St., Philadelphia,
