Man To Be Sentenced For Dismembering Father
PHILADELPHIA (AP) ―
A Philadelphia man is to be sentenced in the dismemberment slaying of his father.
The remains of 66-year-old Clarence Kitcherman were found in the family home in Philadelphia's Kensington section in 2005. His head, arms and legs were stored in a freezer.
One of the victim's sons, Christopher Kitcherman, was convicted of third-degree murder and abuse of corpse in June. His sentencing was set for Wednesday morning.
The defense lawyer tried to blame the killing on the victim's wife, who has since died. The prosecutor maintained that Naomi Kitcherman was too sickly to have been physically able to kill her husband.
