Water Main Breaks Close Area Roads

Crews in Ridley Township, Delaware County worked to repair a broken water main in the 200 block of Morton Street.

The cold weather caused several water main breaks Friday morning prompting road closures in several Delaware Valley towns.
A main break in Bensalem prompted the closure of Philadelphia Park Casino late Thursday night into Friday morning. The casino was expected to reopen by noon Friday.
In Northeast Philadelphia road crews braved the temperatures working through the night along Red Lion Road and Veree Avenue.
In Ridley Township, Delaware County, a water main break closed the 200 block of Morton Street while crews worked to repair the line.
Across the river in New Jersey, a main break flooded Route 130 in Cinnaminson.
