Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Part Of I-76

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―

Westbound traffic on the Schuylkill Expressway was backed up several miles after a multi-vehicle crash Friday.

Chopper 3 was over the Expressway near Route 1 where it appeared at least three vehicles were involved in a collision at about 12:45 p.m. 

All westbound lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic was backed up past 30th Street Station as a result.

It is unclear if there were any injures in the crash. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
