Well, they came, they saw, they ate 'em all wings that is.
For the 18th year in a row, WIP held its bizarre "chicken eating" tradition before a packed house at the Wachovia Center Friday morning.
PJ Whelihan's in Haddonfield cooked up 9,000 wings for the 29 contestants participating in the Wing Bowl competition.
The winner of Wing Bowl 18, returning champ John "Super Squibb" Squibb of Berlin, New Jersey, tossed back 238 wings in over three rounds.
Of course, the competition would not have been complete without the help of the scantily clad, sometimes naked, "Wingettes." This year, "Snookie" from the popular MTV show "Jersey Shore," was among the girls whose job was to keep the competitors eating while cheering them on and entertaining the crowd.
Some proceeds of Wing Bowl 18 will be donated to the Philadelphia Police Department's survivor's fund.
