Howard Gets Behind The Counter At Subway

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A few hours before the highly anticipated Phillies parade down Broad Street Friday, Ryan Howard served up a few sandwiches to fans at a Center City Subway.

Howard, along with infamous Subway spokesman Jared Fogel, put on their gloves and tried their hand at some sandwich artistry at 7th and Market Streets at about 7:30 a.m.

Still riding high on the thrill of breaking the Phillies 28 year championship drought, Howard said his recent ads with Jared may have brought a bit of good luck to the team.

"Michael Strahan, Kimmie Meissner, Tony Parker all seemed to have won championships after doing a commercial with him so I might have to call the Phillies and have him hired on full-time," Howard joked.

Howard hit three homeruns and had six RBIs in the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
