Egg Harbor Prostitute Murders Remain A Mystery
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) ―
After two years, the deaths of four prostitutes whose bodies were found in a drainage ditch just outside Atlantic City remain unsolved.
But Atlantic City Prosecutor Ted Housel insists that the case has not gone cold. He says his office is still expending time and resources on the investigation, although he declines to give specifics.
The grisly discovery on Nov. 20, 2006, behind a row of seedy motels in Egg Harbor Township initially sparked fears that a serial killer was on the loose, but there has been no similar killing since.
In June, Housel said that authorities have interviewed and questioned many possible suspects, but didn't have enough evidence to charge anyone.
