Experts Determine Paw Prints Belong To K-9
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
The mystery of the reported bear sighting in Philadelphia was solved Tuesday after a game commission representative visited the site and determined the paw prints belong to a large canine.
Police requested assistance from the Pennsylvania Game Commission after responding to bear sighting reports and discovering large animal tracks near Bryn Mawr and Parkside Avenue late Monday night.
Game experts visited the Fairmount Park site Tuesday morning and determined the tracks, with four paw prints, were left by a large dog. Black bears have five paw prints.
Case solved.
