Motorcycle Driver Charged In Deadly Pa. Crash
WEST NORRITON (CBS 3) ―
The driver of a stolen motorcycle has been charged after a June crash in Montgomery County that left one person dead.
Julian Mansfield, 21, is facing charges of homicide by vehicle, receiving stolen property and related offenses in connection with a June 23 crash on the Dannehower Bridge.
Authorities said Mansfield was speeding on a stolen motorcycle when he lost control, striking a vehicle before hitting a concrete barrier on the bridge. A rear seat passenger, identified as Ryan Banjoman, was ejected from the motorcycle into the waters of the Schuylkill River below.
Crews recovered Banjoman's body several hours after the accident.
Police said Mansfield, who was driving with a suspended license, was seriously injured. He is expected to be arraigned on all charges in Norristown Monday afternoon.
