Marlton Family Hoping For 'House Swap'
MARLTON, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
A sign of the tough times is a for sale sign that lingers too long on someone's front lawn.
Kris Kunicky of Marlton has one of those signs. It's been there for six months and with no buyers, he is now looking for swappers.
Kunicky put his house on Craig's List, the online Web site that allows people to barter and sell anything.
Under the house swap section, Kris has asked if anyone in the Baltimore area where he and his wife are transferring for work might like to trade houses if they need to move to South Jersey.
Kris has a three bedroom, two and a half bath home in move-in condition. He is hoping to find something comparable and thought he might have.
When Kris mentioned he had a dog, it seems the homeowner changed his mind.
Kris has also tried a site called OnlineHouseTrader.com and has had no luck there.
Now he plans to bury a Saint Joseph statue in his front yard as others have done, hoping the Saint can bring him some divine intervention.
He bought the house two years ago for $385,000; it is now listed at $379,900.
