Non-Stop Flight Now Connects Las Vegas And A.C.
ATLANTIC CITY (AP) ―
Two of the nation's gambling hotspots are now connected by a new nonstop flight.
The service, offered by Spirit Airlines, started Thursday night.
The maiden flight took off from Atlantic City International Airport just before seven o'clock and is en route to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
The carrier says one flight is to fly each way each day. The first Atlantic City-bound flight will arrive early Friday.
Spirit says the flight will be a convenience for casino operators that have operations in both cities and need to shuttle their executives between them.
It also opens new markets for Atlantic City, a city with easy access from big East Coast cities such as New York and Philadelphia but where the airport has limited service.
