Let's Go Cheap: Indoor Rock Climbing
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS 3) ―
When it comes to saving money, some may begin by cutting back on vacations. Fortunately there are some local activities that will have you saying, "Let's Go! (cheap)."
At the Doylestown Rock Gym, family members of all ages can safely experience the thrill and challenge of rock climbing all year round.
With over 7,000 square feet of indoor rock climbing, the Doylestown Rock Gym on Old Easton Road is one of the largest facilities of its kind on the East Coast.
Climbers can choose from a wide array of climbing surfaces sure to challenge those just starting out to those with advanced experience. Even the youngest climbers have there own designated area to reach for the top.
Robb Krug said rock climbing works out both the body and the mind.
"You're pulling, you're pushing and believe it or not, you do get some cardio in there as well," he said.
Ropes, harnesses and a floor with seven inches of foam will help prevent serious injury for those not yet comfortable on the wall.
An all day pass costs $12 for adults and $10 for kids. Classes and guided climbs are available.
