Man Sentenced To 115 Years For Area Bank Robberies
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) ―
A Philadelphia man will spend 115 years
in federal prison for robbing nine southern New Jersey
and Pennsylvania
banks at gunpoint.
Kevin Taylor, 44, was convicted in March of
robbing banks in Bellmawr, Gloucester Township, Cherry Hill, Camden,
Sicklerville, Mount Holly, and York,
Pa.
One co-defendant was previously convicted, and
another pleaded guilty.
Under the sentence handed down yesterday, Taylor must also serve three
years of probation after completing his prison term; he would be 159 years old
at the time.
Parole has been abolished in the federal prison
system, and inmates must serve virtually all of their sentences.
