'Ice Cream Man' Arrested For Selling Counterfeits
BELLEFONTE, Del. (AP) ―
New Castle County police say a 40-year-old Philadelphia man has been arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit CDs and DVDs out of his ice cream truck.
Police arrested Ali Nasser Wednesday afternoon. He's charged with manufacturing or distributing counterfeit DVDs and CDs.
Around 4 p.m., an officer saw people standing in line at his ice cream truck and noticed the customers were leaving with items that clearly weren't ice cream.
As Nasser left the neighborhood, police followed him and pulled his truck over. The officer found nearly 300 DVDs and CDs and almost $400 in cash.
He has been released after posting $4,000 bail.
