New Digs For Delaware County Dogs

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS 3) ―

The Delaware County Council, along with Upper Darby Township, hosted the grand opening of the new Kent Park Dog Park in Upper Darby Thursday afternoon.

The event was dubbed an official "Unleashing of the Dogs" and included members from humane organizations and the public.

Several dogs were also in attendance with their owners to get a first-paw account of the new park. Pet guests included Beatrice, a prize-winning bull terrier, Paolo, a black Labrador, and dogs from the Delaware County S.P.C.A. shelter.

The dog park is located near the Lindbergh Bridge in the 3900 block of Bridge Street, off Baltimore Pike and is part of a 10-acre recreational facility.

The official opening of the dog park is scheduled for August 1.
