Philly Restaurants "Cook For Cops"

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Philadelphia restaurant owners are banding together to help the family of a fallen police officer and develop a new annual tradition for the city.  Over 30 restaurants in Old City are taking part in the first annual "Old City Cooks for Cops" day. Owners said 10 percent of their proceeds for the day will be donated to a trust fund set up for the family of fallen police Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski.

"If we all banded together and donated 10 percent of our sales, we'd be able to raise a nice amount of money and create an annual event where we could give back to the police community who support us so well," said organizer Mike Naessens.
