I-295 Reopens After Crash

A serious accident on I-295 left a car wedged between two trucks Wednesday, November 18, 2009.

At least two tractor trailers and a car were involved in a serious crash on I-295 that closed the southbound lanes during the morning rush hour Wednesday.
The accident happened at about 8:15 a.m. at mile marker 28 in Bellmawr, Camden County.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as medics and firefighters worked to rescue two victims trapped in the car that had been wedged between the semi and box truck. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
All southbound lanes remain closed for nearly an hour.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
