Gunman Holds Up Philadelphia Armored Car Courier
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
An armored car making a delivery to the PNC Bank at 4th and Tabor Streets was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday.
According to the FBI, the armored car courier was robbed by a male armed with some type of assault rifle as he exited his vehicle and approached the bank doors at 11:05 a.m.
Authorities say the suspect forcibly took the delivery from the courier and fled the scene in a brown or bronze older model sedan with a "square" back. The get-away car was driven by another male that was last seen westbound on Tabor Street and southbound on 5th Street.
According to the FBI, Garda is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction and recovery of the money.
