Investigators have released surveillance video in connection to the murder of a bakery shop owner in Camden County.
Police said three suspects entered Alex's Bakery and Food Store on Ferry Avenue in Woodlynne Borough October 14.
Store owner Oscar Medina Hernandez, 29, was shot and killed during the apparent robbery. Police said no cash was taken during the incident.
"We try to be strong, but it's kind of hard to believe," said his brother-in-law Salvadore Ramos. They "just went directly to Oscar and shot him. They didn't even take any money. They couldn't open the register."
Family members said Hernandez, a Mexican citizen who has lived in the U.S for the past 11 years, worked hard to support his wife and two children.
"It's hard to believe how in a minute, many things can happen," Ramos said. "But we stay together and be strong."
No arrests have been made. Surveillance video captured images of the suspects. One of the males was described as wearing a black hoodie and another wearing a black striped hoodie. A third was seen wearing a distinctive red hoodie which resembles an Ed Hardy Brand hooded Garment.
The Citizen's Crime Commission is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest & conviction in this case.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
Anyone with information on the killing is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor's Office Investigator Lance Saunders at (856) 225-8400 or Collingswood Police Detective Ed Correll at (856) 854-1901.
