Bucks Co. Multi-Car Accident Spawns Huge Fire

LOWER MAKEFIELD, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Flames erupted after a multi-vehicle crash in Bucks County Monday afternoon.

Chopper 3 was over Black Rock and Yardley Roads in Lower Makefield where two trucks, one carrying home heating oil, and a passenger vehicle collided at about 12 p.m.

A fire broke out shortly after the accident. Flames heavily damaged all three vehicles and spread to the surrounding area, burning a nearby utility pole.

Minor injuries were reported in the accident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Investigators said the intersection is closed for repairs.
