Officer Injured In Montgomery Co. Crash

A police officer in Montgomery County was injured after his cruiser was struck during a traffic stop Monday night.
Authorities said a West Pottsgrove Police officer had stopped a driver near Grosstown Road and Center Street in Stowe, Pa. when another vehicle slammed into the rear of his cruiser at about 10:30 p.m.
The officer, who was inside the cruiser at the time, was rushed to Reading Trauma in unknown condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash apparently became combative and was handcuffed to a stretcher before being taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Police said a second person who arrived at the scene was taken into custody. The incident remains under investigation.
