Police say two Wilmington men staged the robbery of a man who arranged to meet one of them at a Newark area shopping center to sell a Nintendo Wii.
A Newark police officer saw two men arguing in the College Square Shopping Center on Library Avenue on Wednesday. They told the officer they had just been robbed.
The 41-year-old man told police he was going to sell 19-year-old Darryl Cebenka his Wii in the parking lot. But he said a hooded man came over, pulled a handgun and stole the Wii and the cash.
But police have charged Cebenka and his alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Rocco Grossi, in a robbery conspiracy. They found a pellet gun and some of Grossi's clothing nearby. Police say the men staged the robbery.
