Delco. Man Arrested In Murder Of Elderly Neighbor

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A Delaware County man has been arrested in connection to the brutal alleged sexual assault and murder of an elderly woman.

Upper Darby Police arrested 61-year-old Billy Williams for the alleged sexual assault and murder of Jane Morgan, 84.

Morgan was found dead inside her apartment at the Long Lane Apartments complex on September 9, 2008.

Investigators said that an autopsy revealed that the elderly woman was beaten, sexually assaulted and suffocated in her apartment.

According to investigators, Williams' DNA was found under Morgan's fingernails.

"Today we arrested an individual who I would consider a violent sexual predator. Even animals don't kill for sexual gratification," said Superintendent Michael Chitwood of the Upper Darby Police Department.

A total of $1,200 was missing from Morgan's apartment and police believe Williams robbed her.
