Driver Charged In Fatal Evesham Collision
EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Investigators in Burlington County have charged a man in connection with a fatal crash over the weekend
Thomas Thorn Jr., 22, of Tabernacle, N.J., has been charged with driving while suspended and causing an accident resulting in death (Third Degree).
According to police, Thorn disregarded a traffic signal on westbound Route 70 in Evesham and struck another vehicle at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Shawn English, was rushed to Virtua Marlton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Rescue crews extricated Thorn from his vehicle and transported him to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he is listed in stable condition.
Thorn's bail has been set at $100,000. Additional charges could be filed pending the outcome of toxicology tests.
