Pa. Teacher Fired For Inappropriate E-Mails

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― A Montgomery County teacher has been fired for his alleged obsession with a 13-year-old student.

James Fitzmier taught social studies at the Spring-Ford Area Middle School.

District officials said Fitzmier sent hundreds of inappropriate e-mails to the female student for nearly a year. Officials believe Fitzmier crossed the line between morality and immorality.

On May 10, Fitzmier allegedly wrote ..."If you show me a pict of you in your uniform, I'll show you one of me in my Cub Scout uniform."

On June 10, Fitzmier allegedly wrote … "I wanna see pictures --- no argument this time! Maybe I'll add 5 E.C. points for u if u do!"

On October 15, Fitzmier allegedly wrote … "Do ur parents know that you email me? If not, don't you think u should tell them so they don't get mad? Maybe u could say, is it okay if I email some of my teachers to say Hi!"

On January 21, he allegedly wrote … "I'm glad you're still "single." Remember, you don't need to always have a boyfriend."

No criminal charges have been filed against Fitzmier
