ATV Crash Injures 2 In Southwest Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― An ATV joy-ride took a life-threatening turn in Southwest Philadelphia Tuesday evening.

The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of 55th and Baltimore Streets.

According to police, two people were riding the ATV without helmets when they crashed into a parked car, sending them flying into the air.

Police said a male suffered life-threatening head wounds and a teenage girl broke numerous bones in the accident. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
