'Sopranos' Creator In N.J. Court Over Plot Dispute

TRENTON (AP) ― Jury selection is beginning in Trenton in the lawsuit against "Sopranos" creator David Chase.

Chase must defend his role in creating the popular HBO mob drama.

A former municipal court judge wants money and credit. Robert Baer (behr) claims his ideas helped Chase come up with the plot for the show.

Chase has disputed the accusations.

Chase arrived at the courthouse with his wife and two lawyers.

He declined to comment.

About 30 prospective jurors were told eight would be chosen to hear the case, which is expected to take eight days.

Opening statements are expected after the lunch break.
