1 Dead, 3 Injured In West Philly Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― One person was killed and three others were injured in a West Philadelphia shootout early Sunday.

The shooting happened at 60th and Girard Streets around 3 a.m.

Initially emergency crews responded to reports of two men shot, one in the chest and another shot in the back. Upon arrival, they found four men injured with gunshot wounds.

Police believe that one of the men shot is the prime suspect and that he initiated the shootout along with three victims.

All four men were taken to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania where one of them died. Two men are listed in critical condition and a third man's condition was not available.

There is no word on the identities of the men or their motive for the shooting. Philadelphia police continue to investigate the incident.
