Arrest Made After Deadly Allentown Crash

ALLENTOWN (CBS 3) ―
A young Allentown woman was out celebrating a milestone birthday when the ride home turned deadly.
Sheena Villa was celebrating her 25 birthday with friends and needed a ride home. Authorities said her decision to get a ride with 27-year-old Robert LaBarre was a deadly mistake.
It was exactly 10-weeks ago that 25-year-old Villa, a popular dance instructor in the Lehigh Valley, was killed in a car accident on the Parkway Boulevard in Allentown.
Just across the street from the crash site stands the Rose Garden Chapel where Villa's parents were married nearly 20-years ago.
"Missing Sheena is a full time job, but waiting for the wheels of justice to start rolling is tough," said her father Bill Villa.
Thursday, authorities charged 27-year-old Robert LaBarre, an acquaintance of Villa's, with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter and other charges.
Police said LaBarre, owner of the Cutting Edge Hair Salon in Allentown, drove Villa and her boyfriend Subastian Gubitosi home on March 24.
According to court documents, LaBarre was three times the legal limit and was driving at high rates of speed. Authorities said Gubitosi told them he and Villa were frightened for their lives before the crash.
"I think there will be evidence that he and Ms. Villa cautioned LaBarre to slow down," said Leigh County District Attorney Jim Martin.
Bill villa knows nothing will bring his daughter back, but says he's happy, justice is finally being served.
"A bad man hurt my daughter, so I want to get that bad man," he said.
Almost two-weeks after the accident, Villa's parents received letter of apology from LaBarre's father, but said they've never gotten an apology from LaBarre himself.
A preliminary hearing is set for LaBarre on June 7.
