Woman Assaulted In Northern Liberties
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ―
Philadelphia police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in Northern Liberties Monday.
The incident happened at about 11:15 p.m. in an alleyway in the 800 block of Orkney Street near 5th and Fairmount Streets.
A woman told police a man forced her into a wooded lot after pulling a gun on the 23-year-old victim. The alleged attacker then demanded money and smashed her face against a rock before sexually assaulting her.
The attacker has been described as a clean shaven black male, 17-23 years old, about 5'10" and weighing around 195 pounds.
The attacker was reportedly wearing a white tank top, light colored jeans and white tennis shoes.
Police said the victim was treated at an area hospital for cuts to her face.
