School Bus Crashes In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A school bus carrying four students went off the road and ended up in a wooded area in the Far Northeast section Wednesday evening.

The incident happened near the intersection of Townsend and Thornton Roads near Woodhaven Road.

The four students were transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital for evaluation. According to police, their injuries do not appear to be serious.

Police said the bus ended up in the wooded area after it collided with another vehicle near an underpass for Woodhaven Road.

The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
