SEPTA Breaks Ground On Major Station Makeover

BRISTOL Twp., Pa. (CBS 3) ― SEPTA officials broke ground on a new $12 million reconstruction project in Bucks County Monday.

U.S. Senator Arlen Spector and Congressman Patrick Murphy joined SEPTA Chairman Pasquale Deon Sr. during Monday's groundbreaking ceremony at the Croydon Station in Bristol Township, Pa.

Officials said the project will take approximately two years.

The project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is one of 32 projects planned by SEPTA.

The station is a major hub for the R7 Regional Rail line to Trenton. Officials said remodeling will provide a state-of-the-art facility for riders while improving transportation in the area.
