2 Years Later, Area Couple Is Still Missing

by Pat Ciarrocchi
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― Two years ago, President's weekend a young couple had a great evening together on South Street. They hugged their friends goodbye and that's the last anyone has seen or heard from them.

Today their families are trying again, offering a big cash reward to learn what's become of their children.

Richard Petrone and Danielle Imbo had a date at Abilene 's on South Street the night of February 19th, 2005.

"The last I seen them was the corner of the bar here and gave them both a hug and said bye, nice to meet you Danielle and said to Rich give me a call tomorrow," said Anthony Valentino.

Anthony Valentino never got a call neither did anyone else.

Rich, who lived in Philadelphia, and Danielle, who was from Mt. Laurel, vanished that night emotionally crushing their families, leaving behind children and questions of what and how and why?

"If you take it as a whole, unimaginable. My wife and I would have never thought we'd be here, two years out," said Richard Petrone Sr., Rich's father.

Despite an intense and extensive police investigation even searching the Delaware River, Rich and Danielle are gone without a trace as is his Dodge Dakota pick up.

"Somebody has the answer, it takes a phone call. They get the money," said John Apeldorn.

John Apeldorn is the president of the Citizen's Crime Commission which is holding $100,000 reward

"They've been missing for two years, no answers, no contact. It's hard on the families," said Apeldorn.

Richard Petrone, Richard Jr.'s dad, lives with the pain everyday.

"There's a hundred thousand dollars out there that we'd be willing to pay just information, as to whereabouts. it's not even tied to conviction any more," said Petrone Sr.

Just one call, to break the case. Two years later, it's a father's hope and prayer.
