Victim In Casino Crash Recalls Terrifying Ordeal
BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS 3) ―
A victim from a chaotic car crash outside Philadelphia Park Casino spoke to CBS 3 about her terrifying ordeal.
The accident happened Friday night when an elderly man lost control of his vehicle after receiving the car back from a valet service. The car ran into the back of an ambulance, which was at the facility on another call, jumped a curb and struck several pedestrians.
Jordan Siegelman, 75, was trapped under the front of the car for roughly about 30-40 minutes. Siegelman remains in critical condition, his family said he is on life support and has numerous broken bones.
Alida Black had been standing next to Siegelman prior to the accident.
"It could have been me, I am so sorry, even to the man that was driving, I don't even know what was going on with the man, but I can't understand how he couldn't stop," Alida said.
Alida was thrown into the air by the car and landed on the ground.
"My life flashed real fast, I just knew I was gone," Alida said. "I was trying to get up but my leg wouldn't let me get up, my nose was running and blood was coming out of my mouth."
Fortunately, Alida did not suffer any broken bones but doctors told her she was going to sore for a long time.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
