Suspects Arrested In Shore Home Thefts

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (CBS 3) ― Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the thefts of pricey items from inside numerous beach homes.

Michael Eger, 24, and John Perone Jr., 23, have been charged with burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property.

Police said the pair broke into several homes in the Ocean City area and stole flat screen and plasma TV's.

Police said they recovered 12 televisions and they are working to return them to their owners.

Eger and Perone Jr. are being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $70,000 cash bail.

Police said as many as 20 shore properties have been targeted in Ocean City, and 10 homes have been hit in Sea Isle City since September.
