Sexual Assault Hearing Held For MontCo. Teacher
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (CBS 3) ―
A preliminary hearing was held for a Montgomery County
teacher accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
In November, authorities in Montgomery
County announced the
arrest of a Collegeville teacher for the sexually inappropriate touching of a
minor.
Vito Granieri, employed at St. Eleanor's School as an Information
Technology teacher/aid who substitutes on occasion, was arrested on
charges of indecent assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The Collegeville Police Department conducted an
investigation into reports of the inappropriate touching and determined that
Granieri was responsible for the actions that had occurred on numerous
occasions.
Granieri is being held on $100,000 bail that contains a
special condition that he makes no contact with the child, the child's family,
St. Eleanor's School or other teachers employed at the school.
