Burlington County Crash Kills 1

LUMBERTON, N.J. (CBS 3) ― One person was killed in a two car crash in Lumberton, New Jersey Monday morning.

According to authorities, the accident happened at about 6 a.m. on Route 38 at Smithville Road.

Police said 23-year-old Chad Martin lost control and hit a Ford Explorer, Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was airlifted to an area hospital to be treated for cuts and broken ribs.

The intersection was closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
