Hazardous Chemical Sickens 3 In Montco.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (CBS 3) ― Several Montgomery County residents were sickened after they were apparently exposed to an animal repellent Monday evening.

The incident happened in the Providence Meadows development neighborhood of Lower Providence at about 8:00 p.m.

According to police, a farmer was spraying the chemical when it was apparently picked up in the wind and blown to a nearby neighborhood. Police believe about a half gallon of the product was used.

Residents of 28 homes were initially instructed to remain inside until emergency crews cleared the scene.

Three people were treated at the scene by emergency crews. The area has since been cleared.
