Del. Police: 5 Charged In Revenge Kidnapping
HOUSTON, Del. (AP) ―
Five people have been charged in a kidnapping Delaware State Police say was revenge for an alleged sexual assault.
Police say Russell Griffin of Lincoln believed the 34-year-old man had assaulted a woman and hatched the plan for the kidnapping.
On Monday night, police say Amanda Alevato of Milford lured the man outside his home near Houston, while Michael Kopp of Harrington, Andrew Siko of Dover, Dennis Foskey of Harrington and an unidentified 15-year-old Harrington boy waited with baseball bats. But police say an off-duty officer who lives nearby interrupted the kidnapping as the bound victim was being taken away.
Griffin is at-large, but police say the other five suspects were arrested and charged with kidnapping, second-degree conspiracy and other offenses.
