Reward Offered For Missing Philadelphia Painting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS3/AP) ―
The FBI says a 19th century painting worth tens of thousands of dollars is missing from the Philadelphia Park Systems office.
Employees of the park office noticed on Monday that the John Woodside painting "Fairmount Water Works" was missing. It is believed to have been made around 1842. The FBI says preliminary estimates put the painting's value at up to $75,000.
The FBI said Tuesday that it is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the painting's recovery.
Anyone with information should call the FBI at (215) 418-4000 or the Fairmount Park Commission at (215) 685-0274.
