Four Children Hospitalized After Delco. Accident
DARBY, Pa. (CBS 3) ―
Four young girls were taken to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after being struck and injured by a vehicle in Delaware County Friday.
According to reports, medics responded to the 900 block of Main Street in Darby Borough for reports of an accident just after 1 p.m.
According to police, the four girls, between the ages of seven and 10, reportedly jumped into traffic and were struck by an elderly woman driving down Main Street.
The children were all taken to CHOP with non-life threatening injuries. According to sources, the girls are expected to be treated and released.
The woman driving the vehicle stopped and was complying with police. Police closed Main Street to investigate.
This accident comes less than a week after a serious accident involving three children in Upper Darby, Delaware County.
