Willingboro Woman Dies After Fire

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (CBS 3) ― A South Jersey community mourned the loss of a neighbor killed in a house fire early Saturday.

Firefighters arrived to find a home on Millbrook Drive in Willingboro that was engulfed in flames shortly before 9 a.m.

A 69-year-old woman was pulled from the house but was pronounced dead a short time later. Neighbors described the victim as a recent retiree who was active in a number of charities. They said she would be missed.

The victim's name was not released and an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
