A Pennsylvania man who
allegedly stole two diamond rings worth more than $3,600 from a Claymont, Del., Kmart is in police
custody.
Delaware State Police
say Ridley Township
police and Kmart security employees identified 22-year-old Nicholas Kowal of Secane, Pa.,
as the alleged thief. He and 24-year-old Jessica MaCauley of Collingdale,
Pa., turned themselves in Friday to Philadelphia police.
Kowal allegedly ran out
of the Tri-State Mall Kmart with two diamond rings after an employee showed him
several pieces of jewelry. MaCauley drove him away.
Police say the Golden
Nugget pawn shop in Folsom, Pa.,
bought the rings from Kowal on March 16.
Kowal is suspected in a
similar robbery last Friday at a Kmart in Folsom, Pa.
