Del. Man Steals Computer After Doctor Visit
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS 3) ―
New Castle County police have arrested a man for stealing a lap top
computer from a doctor's office after he was seen as a patient.
On Thursday, June, 12, Samuel Hackett, 49, of Wilmington, reportedly went to his doctor's office for an appointment at about 12:30 p.m.
Investigators say, after Hackett's appointment was over the man left the office with a lap top computer that belonged to the physician's office.
County officials located Hackett, who was wanted by the Court of Common Pleas for unrelated charges, in the area of 23rd and Market Streets in Wilmington. He was brought into police custody without incident and the computer was later discovered at his home.
Hackett has been committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post bond.
