Driver Charged In Deadly Chester Co. Accident

A driver has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal accident in Chester County on April 13.

A driver has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal accident in Chester County in April.
Following a nine-week investigation, authorities arrested Thomas Patrick Brandon in connection with the accident that occurred on Rt. 202 and Greentree Drive in Thornbury Township on April 13.
According to investigators, Brandon, 46, was under the influence of illegal drugs when he slammed into the rear of a stopped vehicle at the red light, killing Daniel Ortiz Lopez of Phoenixville.
The car that Lopez was in engulfed into flames and was pushed forward into another vehicle occupied by two individuals.
Brandon has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle, Homicide by Vehicle While Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance, Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance and other related offenses.
Brandon is being held at the Chester County Prison $25,000 bail. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 18.
