Cherry Hill Mall Opens New Parking Structure
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS 3) ―
Malls across the country are doing everything they can to lure shoppers during the upcoming holiday season; one local mall in particular is doing their best to cover the needs of their customers.
The Cherry Hill Mall has completed production on their state of the art, indoor high-tech parking facility, a week ahead of the 'Black Friday' post-Thanksgiving rush.
The three-level parking deck was part of a $300 million renovation that includes a new Nordstrom, relocated food courts and extensive interior and exterior renovations.
In a grand opening ceremony, local dignitaries drove through a banner in a brand new Rolls Royce to officially open the new lot to prospective shoppers.
The indoor facility will provide access directly to the mall, keeping customers out of the winter conditions.
The new construction is a much welcomed improvement over what some Cherry Hill consumers hailed as an inadequate parking situation.
